Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 12 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup wheat germ
  • 1cup sweetened coconut
  • 1 cup dried mango
  • 1 cup dried pineapple,
  • 1 cup toasted and chopped macadamia nuts

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare 3 cookie sheets by lining
with foil. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, salt, butter, and honey.

Add the wheat germ and oats. Stir until blended. Spread the granola on the cookie sheets.

Bake 20 minutes. Stir after 10 minutes.

Remove from oven and stir. Pour into a bowl and add coconut. Return to pans and bake 10 more minutes.

Stir once in a while. Remove and stir.

Allow to cool 15 minutes. When cool add the dried mango, dried pineapple, and macadamia nuts.

Makes 14 cups.
